The Role:
- Monitor the implementation of the approved Contractor Project Scaffold Plan and referenced procedures including bridging documents and other relevant international regulations and standards.
- Ensuring at least 90% availability on site, patrolling to indentify unsafe scaffold conditions and fall protection potential and actual risks. He corrects or assist to correct such risks with the contractor.
- Monitor and report the scaffold performance of the Contractor and its sub – contractors on site to Scaffold Supervisor.
- Undertake site scaffolding audits & inspections and ensure corrective action recommendations are conclusively closed - out.
- Collate daily inspections on scaffolds and provide relevant feedback to Scaffold Supervisor.
- Monitor the implementation and close-out of scaffold actions from Anomaly reports, Inspections and Audit reports.
- Checks that scaffolds are not erected, modified or dismantled by un-qualified personnel.
- Control that areas are cordoned off during erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolding and that scaffolders are using appropriate fall protection.
- Monitors that personnel using the scaffolds have an inspected and validated safe for use green scaff- tag.
- Ensures that where erections or modifications are performed on scaffolds, the reds scafftag is displayed and no personnel are using these scaffolds with exception to the scaffolders performing their works.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings with site scaffolding teams, ensure the relevant scaffold concerns are raised for correction and promote safe scaffolding works.
- Periodically patrol and be visible at worksite, be available and approachable for Scaffold related issues and work at heights concerns. Liaise with Contractor Scaffold Supervision teams for rectification.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents to determine their underlying causes, report anomalies and check corrective actions.
- Carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.
- Take time of checking scaffold related safety documents and permits at site.
- Ensure that risk assessment prior to start new activity is properly conducted and understood by personnel involved.
- Be a team player, support and to correct non-scaffold related HSE issues when he sees one at work site.
- Degree in engineering and a related Scaffold Certification from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in the Oil and Gas production projects, with minimum 4 years on position(s) of similar Scaffold responsibilities.
- Knowledge of risk assessment techniques, Job safety and Incident Analysis.
- Administrative skills including proficiency in typical office applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Fluent in English & Korean language and ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company.
- Geographical mobility.
