The Role:
Our client requires a Scaffold Safety Inspector for a large refinery extension Project in Saudi Arabia. The work pattern established as 10 weeks work followed by 3 weeks rest. The base will be a secure Camp Ground 5km from the ASU site within the perimeter of The Compound, with safe, modern and comfortable leisure and living facilities. All employees will be allowed to fly back home in every rest period. In addition, we confirm that tax advice will be provided in order that salaries can be received tax free.

Responsibilities
• Reporting to the Site Safety manager
• Responsibilities will include:
o The enforcement and support necessary for safety on the site with specific attention to all safety matters related to scaffold and access
o Performing surveillance and auditing of scaffold and access activities on site
o Performing scaffold inspection tasks by identifying scaffold hazards, verifying compliance with applicable standards, and recording inspection results
o Ensuring that all scaffold and access solutions used on the site are safe and suitable for the task in hand
o Ensuring that all personnel involved in the provision of scaffold and access solutions on the site are qualified and certified to Air Products and any applicable In Kindgom standards
o The day-to-day supervision and auditing of contractors and subcontractors’ works with particular attention to scaffold and access related activities
o Maintaining a strong and effective professional working relationship with the AP site team and the onsite contractors and sub-contractors
o Supporting and complying with the Project Safety and Security plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Strong construction safety supervisory experience of large multi discipline sites with particular experience of scaffold and access activities
• Trained, qualified and capable of performing scaffold inspection tasks by identifying scaffold hazards, verifying compliance with applicable standards, and recording inspection results
• Team Player
• Strong communicator written and oral (English and Urdu or English and Chinese)
• Organized, disciplined, and able to perform under pressure
• Middle East experience
• Experience of working on camp based construction sites in remote Middle East locations
• Experience of working in multicultural project teams
• Experience of working on behalf of the client rather than through an EPC

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Certified as a Scaffold Inspector by Saudi Aramco (certification can be gained once on site if not)
• Saudi Aramco experience
• Industrial gas construction experience
• Air separation construction experience
• Experience of constructing multiple repeat train projects
