The Role:
Reports to : Maintenance Services

PURPOSE AND SCOPE :
Provides interface between COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor and Scaffolding Crew on routine but diverse Scaffolding duties as part of general maintenance program on all COMPANY facilities and structures. Responsible for Scaffolding Services fully in compliance with Contract requirements/COMPANY standards. Maintenance program is carried out in LNG Plant, Workshops and associated COMPANY facilities at the Plant and Offshore.

DUTIES PERFORMED.
Receives instructions from, and reports to the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor. Passes work orders to, and receives work reports from the Scaffolding Contractor.
Provides explanation and technical instruction as necessary to Scaffolding Crew. Checks performance of all Scaffolders as applicable, to maintain cost and safety control and ensure completion to schedule. Manages the CONTRACT and co-ordinates between CONTRACTOR Design/Head office, COMPANY and crew. Provides necessary documentation to the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance. Services Supervisor on a regular daily basis for effective time and cost control. Responsible to the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor for full compliance with relevant Scaffolding codes and standards, quality control aspects of the Contract. Responsible to the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor for full compliance with COMPANY’s permit to work and Safety regulations as applicable, generally ensuring contract labor work in a safe and competent manner. Shall perform duties for all contractual and administrative aspects of the Contract. Responsible for the conception, design, allocations of men and material for the Scaffolds of the Contract.

WORK CONTACTS
Has a regular daily contact with the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor. Frequent contact with other COMPANY’s personnel at own or higher level from associated
departments. Has a daily contact with Scaffolding Contractor for communicating Scaffolding requirement of COMPANY, obtaining design data, calculations, drawings/ sketches, bill of material, etc. and obtaining COMPANY’s APPROVAL and instructing \Lead Scaffolders for implementation.

LATTITUDE.
Supervises and coordinates works according to established procedures, policies and approved programs, all under instruction and control of the respective COMPANY’s Maintenance Services Supervisor. With these parameters, exercises judgment in planning and organizing work, deciding immediate priorities, setting standards and checking and accepting work.

PHYSICAL EFFORT.
Moderate level of physical effort – involving cycling, walking, climbing and standing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT.
Some work in Air-conditioned office but with 80% exposure to LNG Plant conditions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
PRE-REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS
Scaffolding Supervisor should be a very capable person, well versed in all aspects of scaffolding services, with adequate experience (min 10 years), in efficient selection, design, verification,
erection and inspection of various Scaffolding System in LNG installation or Petrochemical Plants.Hand on experience of Scaffolding Service is very essential. The Supervisor should also have an
adequate knowledge of Scaffolding requirement in large, Oil/Gas Operating Plant.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
CITB – Scaffolding Inspection Course Certificate is mandatory.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in supervisory and/ or Contractual Supervisor capacity in scaffolding at least 4 to 6 years must be in petrochemical Plants.
Should have a professional driving license
Thorough knowledge of Oil and Gas sector requirements for scaffolding.
Administrative capability.
