The Company:
This is a Major Operator.

The Role:
The Functional Scheduler role is a critical position within the Activity Planning team. A Functional Scheduler should have previous oil and gas industry and North Slope experience. The role of Functional Scheduler is one that requires effective teamwork and collaboration to effectively deliver detailed work schedules. Communication in all directions is critical. Scheduling can be quite complex and the role of Functional Scheduler must strive to reduce complexity of the process and continually seek ways to improve.

Develop and maintain schedules in Primavera
• Complete work using primarily Primavera (P6).
• Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Employ P6 processes that are consistent with Activity Planning Recommended Practice.

Optimize Functional 6-week and 2-week schedules for integration across areas and functions
• Ensure that Function 6-week and 2-week Schedules are populated with all activities and are deliverable within functional constraints.
• Ensure sufficient buffers between activities and allowances for emergent work.
• Ensure that all activities conform to 6-week and 2-week gate readiness criteria.
• Perform resource levelling for all functional activities.
• Communicate the 6-week and 2-week schedule internally and in schedule meetings.
• Provide backfill for other Schedulers as needed.

Identification and resolution of delivery risks, resource conflicts, and schedule waivers
• Identify and drive resolution of functional resource conflicts.
• Manage inclusion of approved work into the Functional 6-week and 2-week Schedule.
• Support 6-week and 2-week AP Gatekeepers in assessing schedule waivers.

Drive functional execution efficiency
• Update progress on functional activities in Primavera on a weekly basis.
• Highlight slippage in the schedule and propose actions to recover.
• Review Activity Planning performance with Functional team and support improvements.
• Be a first point of contact for issues relating to scheduling process and tools.
