The Company:
Our client is the largest refinery in Europe and one of the largest refineries in the world. The site offers, next to oil processing factories, housing to chemical plants and other businesses. In short: a large and important industrial site within the area of the Port of Rotterdam

The Role:
• Implements the scheduling function for one of the major turnaround event
• Ensures all turnarounds are scheduled with the approved scheduling tool within the requirements specified in the Scheduling Premises Document.

• Coordination with many T/A Planning personnel – T/A Coordinators, and Planners
• Responsible for implementation of the Scheduling Premises Document•

• Implements T/A Scheduling Premise document and recognizes the primary function of the scheduling tool is:
- Development and understand of critical path and near critical path jobs
- Resource leveling for the event
- Generate daily and 3 shift lookahead for field coordinator(s) to drive work
- Sufficient quality and detailed reports for management and supervision to steer the event
• Data entry / import of detail job plans and estimates into scheduling tool.
• Create logical network of activities and, ultimately, a critical path of work and schedule, without overly constraining the schedule.
• Understands that the schedule must contain sufficient information, but most be simple and dynamic enough to change with changing conditions during execution
• Updates schedule as required – typically daily or shiftly - based on planner reported progress.
• Enters job plan details, including activity description, duration, craft and hours, equipment and materials required
• Determines activity relationships and create logistical ties based on other turnaround planner personnel input (coordinators and planners)
• Develops critical path and analyzes for logic discrepancies
• Produces logic diagrams and summary bar charts
• Produces daily shift schedules at the activity and resource level
• Produce 3 shift look ahead schedules
• Produces other reports as required by the T/A Planning Scheduling Premise Document, and as necessary to support the Event Manager(s)
• Report progress at various detail levels and overall on a shift and daily basis
• Maintain master schedule of project or turnaround
• Ensures security profiles are maintained to sufficiently protect the project file, but not overly encumber the process
• Maintains scheduling software and ensure latest release is loaded
• Ensures backups are made as required for non-GI servers
• Processes Owner for the Scheduling function. Ensures competency of others in use of scheduling tools, trains and mentors Planner / Schedulers.
• Inputs updates into schedule as required based on reported progress (field craft, planner, or coordinator).
• Maintain log of additional work and ensures that it is planned, scheduled, and tracked during execution.
• Initiates formulation of plans to mitigate effects of progress, performance or delivery issues to completion dates
• Ensures review and buy-in of the integrated schedule with key stakeholders, including contractors.
• Participates in the Lessons Learned and Lookback process for select turnaround events.
• Is mindful of and continues to look for opportunities to reduce turnaround scope, and plan and execute with low cost mindset.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Customer focus
• Works effectively in a Team environment and build consensus
• Skill in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SAP / GSAP, Excel, Primavera P6
• Leadership and coaching skills
• Create and manage change

• 5-10 years refinery or petrochemical plant turnaround and project scheduling experience.
• Hands on experience through craft ranks
• 3 to 5 years experience and advanced skill level in scheduling using Primavera P6.
