The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

Responsible for the technical delivery and ownership of Interior Seating components across the Bentley product range within the Seating & Restraints Team.
Using Bentley systems and applying theoretical, practical and innovative design solutions within the relevant Engineering discipline. Additionally the candidate should be capable of providing the Engineering function with Catia V5 Support for Analysing designs and 3D modelling solutions and component design.


Reports to Seating Functional Manager within Engineering Function.


1. Responsible for the delivery of components / systems to the defined Product Design Specification or Task Description.
2. Ability to take an analytical and systematic approach to create optimal solutions to problems.
3. Ability to work within a team.
4. Excellent time management and self-organisational skills.
5. Engineering Release.
6. Responsible for developing, to right first time engineering release, and managing the Engineering Bill of Material.
7. Accountable for the completion of all test, validation and certification of systems/components to demonstrate successful achievement of the above.
8. Responsible for prompt Concern resolution throughout the project, on owned components, and development of Engineering changes, including containment solutions if necessary.
9. Responsible at all times to follow and deliver the requirements of the company systems as defined by company Quality standards and procedures.
10. Ability to interrogate design such that it can be optimised to weight and cost targets.
11. Occasional overseas travel may be required in support of project working and delivery. There may at times be the opportunity to work extended periods overseas.


• Operates within an agreed vehicle feature/sub-system budget and timescale.
• Accountable for identifying and escalating issues and risks to Senior Engineer / Manager.
• Responsibility to ensure factual and effective communication within all cross-function work teams.


• HNC qualified or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate the appropriate level of experience.
• Preference to have degree in Engineering.
• Trained in CATIA V5 to automotive industry standards.


• Appropriate experience working as an Interior Engineer within Automotive or Aerospace industry.
