The Client is a multinational conglomerate company that produces a variety of commercial and consumer products, engineering services, and aerospace systems for a wide variety of customers, from private consumers to major corporations and governments.

The Role:
Our client is seeking applications for Security Technicians / A Grade Electricians. The roles will be based in Darwin, with some travel involved to the Client's various sites of operation in the Northern Territory (NT). The roles will have the opportunity to progress into permanent full time positions as this Client has a lengthy history of training and retaining their contractors.

The purpose of the role is to service customer sites with a focus on components of existing security systems as well as electrical and general maintenance across site as required. To maximise customer satisfaction and minimise customer site downtime by providing exceptional technical support.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of the Client's and third party equipment (as per trade expertise)
• Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance of Security and Electrical systems..
• Configuration of Access Control, Security, XL500 and Fire Systems.
• Diagnoses Fault and repairs on Access Control, Security Fire Systems, Electrical systems.
• Software load and Configuration of EBI Systems.
• Wormald Fire Panels and VESDA systems
• Small to Medium project installations for Security and Electrical, including managing Subcontractors.
• Estimates materials costs and quantities and ordering parts
• Financial control according to previously agreed budgets and plans
• Ensuring customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipients
• Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and quality assurance information as instructed by Team Leader
• Achievement, measurement and reporting of performance indicators and site service objectives
• Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as per agreed rosters and as directed.
• Ensuring delivery of value to Honeywell clients and customers
• Reporting near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement
• Carry out hazard and risk assessments (JSA) for all tasks as per company policy and procedures.

To be successful you will require

• Fault finding and repairs to Electronic equipment
• Experience with the Client's control systems and EBI products in Security, Fire and HVAC applications is an advantage.
• Fault finding and maintenance of commercial electrical equipment and advantage

• Trade Certificate Essential
• A Grade Electrical Licence
• Electrical or Electronics Associate Diploma or higher an Advantage
