The Role:
Responsible to provide superior logistics and distribution services at competitive cost to the field organization while managing the expectation of field organization. Responsible to manage his/her segment’s logistics needs on a day-to-day basis

Relationships:
Assigned and funded by the Segment, reports to Logistic Manager and Segment Operations Manager,
and maintains a close working relationship with the following:
- Business Segment
- Finance / Tax
- TCC (Trade Control Compliance)
- HSE
- Import/Export Specialist
- TMC (Transport Management Center) Freight Specialist
- TMC (Transport Management Center ) Logistics Planning analyst / Business Analyst

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Be the Segment (customer) focal point for all logistics related matters for movement of goods.
• Manage segment logistics operations to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Responsible for cargo request accuracy: descriptions, valuations, Dangerous Goods notes,
Controlled Goods, harmonized tariff codes, country of origin.
• Ensures timely transmittal of documentation to customs brokers.
• Leads initiatives to realize domestic inbound / outbound freight savings.
• Selects and books carrier for specified region considering cost, lead-time, carrier capacity,
plant/customer schedules, and warehouse constraints.
• Provides daily operational support to business segments and Procurement Specialists regarding
expected shipment and arrival dates.
• Responsible for the monitoring and data capture of logistics milestones in the Logistic Center.
• Assesses carrier performance with respect to on-time delivery and on-time pick-up.
• Continually searches for improvement opportunities in transportation processes.
• Ensures internal alignment and common goals/objectives to support internal customers.
• Keep all regulatory documents in proper filing as per country and company retention policies.
• Ensure all customs files are closed within regulatory time frame, and escalate as necessary.
• Expedite and follow up with suppliers until product availability at origin
• Capture and report red money
• Assist with T&M monthly analysis
• Support Business Analyst for controlling Reimbursable freights;
• Prepare all cargo documentation (permits/authorization) for rig/client access;
• Constantly work on consolidation and optimization of cargo transportation, seeking cost reduction.
