The Role:
An opportunity is now available for an experienced Seismic Data Manager to join this successful team based in Perth. You will be a part of the support team reporting to the SS&W Support & Deployment Manager.

The Role will include providing seismic support for Exploration and Technical teams and will involve the following activities:

• Be proactive in understanding the data management requirements of the Geoscience users.
• Load 2D/3D seismic data to the Landmark R5000 application in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
• Ability to load and convert Velocities.
• Provide assistance to users in the manipulation of this data within project files/databases.
• Provide search and retrieval facilities for the seismic user community
• Provide troubleshooting and user assistance to application users, including ensuring good seismic DM standards
• Become a point of contact for seismic for data management related issues.
• Carry out quality and validility checks on seismic held in projects and corporate stores.
• Provide data tracking and auditing reports
• Deliver services in a professional and timely manner ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years geoscience data management experience or related, working in an E&P company or service related company essential.
• Experience in loading 2D/3D seismic data within Landmark R5000 application system essential. (2D loading a key requirement)
• Good understanding of OpenWorks Data Model and Project Structure.
• Strong understanding of geoscience data types and database environments.
• Strong general IT skills essential, with experience (either in Linux or PC environment).
• Strong interpersonal skills essential, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Confident and self-reliant with the ability to transfer technical knowledge, support users etc.
• Ability to work within a team and also be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Good problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
