The Role:
The Field HES Advisor duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Assist in the implementation of crew and project HES plans including:
- Maintaining a workplace risk management system based on reporting and control of hazards by all seismic acquisition contractor personnel and a hazard tracking procedure for ensuring effective close-out of all hazards or close control of ongoing hazards;
- Maintaining a system of safety meetings at all levels of the seismic acquisition contractor’s personnel;
- Assisting with emergency drills and training as appropriate;
- Advising the seismic crew Party Chief and any others on HES matters as necessary;
- Oversee seismic acquisition contractor HES personnel to ensure compliance with field HES procedures, Company requirements and industry standards (IAGC and OGP);
- Monitor compliance with Company’s Contractor Health, Environment and Safety Management (“CHESM”) process and HES plan through regularly scheduled audits of all Company’s seismic acquisition contractor’s crew departments and activities;
- Provide oversight of all seismic acquisition contractor personnel, equipment, processes and procedures to insure compliance with HES expectations;
- Interface with Company HES programs and personnel;
- Audit Company’s seismic acquisition contractor and work with their HES personnel to implement industry HES best practices;
- Work with seismic acquisition contractor to identify HES gaps and to develop training programs and processes as required to fill any HES gaps;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
a) At least ten (10) years experience providing HES advice on large 2D or 3D seismic acquisition operations in complex field settings.
b) Experience managing seismic acquisition contractor HES personnel.
c) Experience with driver monitoring and Motor Vehicle Safety practices.
d) Extensive knowledge of industry standards related to HES management including but not limited to IAGC and OGP standards and procedures.
