The Company:
A major international operator.

The Role:
The HES Supervisor (Land Seismic) duties will include but not be limited to the following:
a) Assist the Company’s Seismic Acquisition Project Coordinator to develop Incident Free Operations (IFO) plan for Company’s Onshore Europe land seismic operations. The IFO plan shall include metrics targets, contractor orientation, onsite communication meetings, reporting requirements, and audit plan.
b) Ensure consistent implementation of IFO plan on seismic programs.
c) Ensure orientation of all personnel, capture of HES metrics, execution of planned drills, and complete reporting of activity and incidents.
d) Work with Company’s Field HES Advisors to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
e) Participate in incident investigations, and ensure follow up and closure of action items.
f) Update the IFO plan as Company’s processes are modified, or improvements identified
g) Develop leading and lagging indicators of HES performance.
h) Ensure process in place to track and report metrics.
i) Analyze metrics to identify trends and identify improvement opportunities.
j) Advise Company’s seismic program management of changes in trends and recommendations for addressing lagging performance
k) Monitor compliance of seismic contractors with Company’s safety management process.
l) Audit operations to ensure compliance.
m) Lead interim review meetings with contractor HES and management personnel. Follow up to ensure closure of gaps
n) Monitor the activity and performance of contract HES advisors in implementing IFO plan in the field.
o) Provide guidance in implementation of Company’s HES processes.
p) Ensure the HES advisors have the resources needed. Ensure advisor schedules are maintained to ensure operation coverage.
q) Identify and communicate performance improvement opportunities.
r) Develop and maintain communication with Company’s staff and communities of practice.
s) Ensure all seismic HES plans and processes are updated and follow standard processes.
t) Participate in communities of practice to ensure lessons learned are incorporated in seismic HES processes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor or higher degree in Industrial Safety (or equivalent expertise).

a) Extensive experience providing HES advice on large 2D or 3D seismic acquisition operations in complex field settings.
b) Experience developing IFO plans for oil field operations.
c) Experience managing seismic acquisition contract HES personnel.
d) Experience with driver monitoring and Motor Vehicle Safety practices.
e) Extensive knowledge of industry standards related to HES management including but not limited to IAGC and OGP standards and procedures.
f) OSHA 30 Hour General Industry or NEBOSH Certification

Ability to communicate clearly in English and in a timely manner to keep Company personnel abreast of audit findings.
