Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
URGENT

SELECT PLANNER (APPRAISE ) – WEST AFRICA FUTURE PROJECTS

Responsibilities:-
Planner will be assigned to the Central Angolan Project Services Team, and report to Angola Development Planning Manager.
The Planner will be responsible for day to day planning activities in support of Angola Development future Projects, with particular emphasis on Select and Define stage projects.
In addition to their specific role, the planner has a responsibility to work closely with the existing planning team to ensure standardisation of approach, and use of company standard planning tools.

Planners prime responsibilities include:
•Short Term Planning: Produce detailed Level 3 Concept Select/Concept Define schedules (in P6) for all disciplines (including all Assurance activities & reviews) - Engineering, Wells Team, Subsurface, Project Controls, HSSE, SURF, etc from present day etc up to Define Stage Gate (i.e., start of FEED).
•Long Term Planning: Produce Schedules up to First Oil and beyond.
Level 2 planning (in P6) for all engineering, procurement, drilling & completions, subsea installation, etc. All key assurance and MPCP milestones and reviews to be included through to First Oil.
Ensure all inputs to the schedule are fully documented and traceable.

Schedule to be fully aligned with Cost Model. Provide presentation material on schedule to management team for reviews as req'd. Provide schedule inputs to PSCM, LTP process, etc. Ensure schedule milestones reported to sector management are consistent with current schedule..
•Identification and management of Interfaces. All significant interfaces between Programme / Project sectors will be identified and controlled through the integrated schedules.

•Implementation of a Formal Management of Change (MoC) process for base lined areas of the integrated schedule. Any proposed change will be analysed for impact against base lined milestones and interface points, approved changes will be incorporated into the schedule and progress measurement systems. Sector planners will ensure that contractors properly manage their baseline schedule and only incorporate CLIENT approved changes.

•Provide support for ITT preparation and bid evaluation for all major contracts. Standard planning requirements will be included in both the ITT and the contracts, together with schedule milestones covering target completions/deliveries, key interfaces and the supply of deliverables. Bid evaluation criteria / score sheets will be developed for each major contract. Planners will be part of the bid evaluation teams for all major contracts, and in addition will provide support in the evaluation of purchase orders and other contracts, to ensure alignment with the schedule.

•Schedule Risk Analysis will be undertaken at specified intervals throughout the Programme timescale; planners will develop the risk schedule for their sector, and facilitate the generation of risk values. An aligned cost/schedule risk process will be implemented for the Programme.
•Progress reporting will be undertaken in accordance with the Project Co-ordination procedures. Planners will be responsible for ensuring an accurate and consistent level of reporting with their contractors, in line with the timing agreed in the project reporting calendar.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
It is expected that this position holder will have several years experience as a Lead Planner on a Major Oil & Gas Offshore Project, with particular experience in Appraise / Select phases or experience in Project Feed stage would be an advantage.

The person should have an Engineering / Construction background and have been educated to a Degree level, Higher National Certificate or Equivalent.

Fully conversant with Primavera P6 Scheduling Tools and Pertmaster Schedule Risk Analysis Programs
Fully conversant in Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
