The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing staff and contract Principal/Senior Process Engineers to join our clients North East Office as part of a growing process engineering team for an on-going upstream Oil and Gas compliance project.

The candidates will be talented, motivated individuals wishing to develop their skills in a team environment. The individual will be required to respond to the lead engineer performing calculations, completing datasheets, registers, preparing reports and studies and updating P&IDs.

Essential Experience:

• Simulation skills are required with competency in the use of Hysys as a minimum and preferably Flarenet.
• Previous upstream relief and blowdown experience designing to API standards is essential.
• Familiarity with BP Engineering standards GP 44-70 & 44-80 and offshore design experience would also be beneficial (but not essential)

Core Responsibilities:

• To provide Process engineering work as directed by the Lead Process Engineer
• To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary
• To plan own work and be responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
• Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
• Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Some travel may be required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering
•Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Chemical Engineer preferred
Upstream Oil and Gas experience preferred
