The Company:
Is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from new build, through operations and maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste management.
They are currently looking for a Senior Stress Engineer to join their team at Warrington, to work on a flagship project

The Role:
The Stress Engineer will be mainly responsible for delivering the required supporting calculations for designs, however there is also a requirement for frequent liaison / management of engineers within the design team from other disciplines.
It is anticipated the Stress Engineer will be involved with the production of calculations using ANSYS FEA software whilst also checking and approving design calculations of designers and other engineers within the team.
Excellent working knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical Design Space and Professional and its application across a wide range of engineering applications; e.g. safety related Plant carrying/handling nuclear waste packages that need to be qualified against DBE seismic criteria.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Those interested in the role of Senior Stress Engineer should have excellent working knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical Design Space and Professional and its application across a wide range of engineering applications; e.g. safety related Plant carrying/handling nuclear waste packages that need to be qualified against DBE seismic criteria
Applicants for the Stress Engineer role should have previous experience of working in the nuclear industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates for the Stress Engineer role will preferably be degree qualified
