The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Senior Architectural Designer to join the North West Office on an Agency Hire basis.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait we are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize the client’s Main Gas Gathering Centre located at Wafra, Kuwait with many sub-centres throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

The candidate will be a Senior Architectural Designer with a proven track record in brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects to help support and grow a UK based project engineering design team that will execute FEED and detailed design projects as part of the overall modernisation project. We also handle most innovative projects involving Concept/ FEED studies, EPC Detailed Design Projects and Process Safety and Risk management as part of the overall project scope of works.

Good communication and presentation skills are essential.

The individual will be an experienced Architectural Designer who can work under their own initiative to support the Project Architect in developing the FEED deliverables for the Central Gas Utilization Project.

Core Responsibilities:

Developing Architectural Layouts, Plans, Elevations, Sections and Schedules.
Assisting in specifying finishes and materials suitable for Middle East conditions
Co-ordinating with other designers and disciplines.
Self-check and checking of others work.
Specific Accountabilities:

Accountable to Project Architect and Lead Engineer in providing quality architectural deliverables
To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and advise of deviations where necessary
Responsible for maintaining own work progress (budget, schedule) and advising of change where necessary.
Liaison with client, other disciplines, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ONC or HNC or equivalent in Architectural Drawing and Design.
Significant experience in Architectural Detailing of which typically should be in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical/Power/Nuclear Projects.
Excellent technical communication and coordination skills.
Experienced and proficient AutoCad user.
