The Company:
Leading integrated energy company. A major player in exploration and production, power generation & trading they use their strong brands and distinctive assets and capabilities to achieve success in their chosen markets.

This requirement will be working for our clients renewable energy division - wind farm construction.

The Role:
Based - Sutton Bridge - commencing asap until the end of 2013.

132kV Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – The SAP’s responsibilities will incorporate, but not be limited to the following:

To act as a Senior Authorised Person (authorised up to 33kV) under our clients HV safety rules. To provide ‘Safety from the System’ through implementation and administration of the on and off shore Permit to Work Systems.
To produce permit and commissioning switching plans for first energisation and subsequent isolations of plant, providing safety from the system.
Following the structure coming under our clients HV safety rules, the individual and their team will be responsible for the safety management and control of all electrical and mechanical systems on the Onshore, Offshore and Wind Turbine structures, including but not limited to:
The 400kV systems (Subject to Authorisation);
The 132kV systems (Subject to Authorisation);
The 33kV systems (Subject to Authorisation);
All low voltage systems;
All mechanical systems.
Conduct operational audits to ensure compliance with company policy and procedure.
To lead the energisation process and associated coordination meetings.
To manage access to and work on the offshore and wind turbine structures once they are under HV safety rules, through daily / weekly co-ordination meetings;
Implements and manages the site’s Emergency Response plan. This may require fulfilling the role of Emergency Co-ordinator/Incident Controller.
Direct responsibility for promoting a positive HS&E culture ensuring that all activities are undertaken in compliance with the Company’s commitment to HS&E minimising risk and hazards:
Co-operates in the prevention or work-related accidents and ill health, and the promotion of environmental good practice by adopting appropriate behaviour.
To assist with the development of the Safety Rules and approved procedures.
To provide attendance and input into the construction phase daily and weekly coordination meetings.
To act as intersystem coordinator with National Grid for the issuance RISSP documents etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Suitable qualifications and experience, preferably offshore experience.
