The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Senior buyer will be responsible for managing strategic global relations with high impact suppliers within the commodity. As part of the role they will be required to lead the sourcing and delivery of components for specific programmes, managing the vehicle launch with a number of key suppliers and customers. A varied skill set will be required to support development of global strategies as well as leading a number of complex supply chain optimisation projects.

1)Professional with a proven track record in a purchasing or other commercial negotiating environment, possessing excellent influencing and negotiating expertise
2)Evidence of delivery of multiple concurrent complex strategic, high-value projects, effectively managing project risk and mitigation strategies through to project launch
3)Proven track record of supplier improvement & cost optimisation.

Experience Required: Relevant degree or equivalent experience. Driving License. Essential: Proven ability to develop supplier relationship dynamics to react to changing market conditions in the buyer / supplier relationships. Highly organised and continual focus on attention to detail. Self-motivated individual, comfortable with taking ownership proactively to resolve complex issues with excellent problem solving skills focussed on delivering results. Ability to lead and drive a complex set of priorities/projects independently Desirable: Leadership of process improvement initiatives. Experience of dealing with global companies with high value revenue is desired

Experience Preferred: Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills. Experience of new supplier introduction & supplier management. Experience of dealing with stamping commodity.
