The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Inventory Management for a defined region in support of the overall IM objectives of availability, back orders, customer service and obsolescence
Maintain Inventory levels at optimum to achieve regional availability and back order targets
Review schedules exceptions on a daily basis ensuring correct course of action is taken and schedules are released in a timely manner
Manage daily orders to ensure regional VORs have adequate order cover
On going monthly review and action of forecast exceptions
Order placement, tracking and communication in support of campaigns, service actionss
Data Analysis to include root cause analysis on availbility loss, back orders, shipment lead time tracking
Identifying opportunities to further improve systems and processes in support of departmental objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Impressive track record in Inventory Management to include - Inventory classification, forecasting and simulation, as well as stocking level strategies, EOQ planning and safety stock planning
High level of computer literacy/competence, ideally including SAP, Excel, MS Access, Word, Powerpoint
Sound working knowledge of Inventory management systems and parameters
Experience in working with complex mutli tiered distribution networks
Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy, including the ability to develop effective working relationships and work as part of a team;
High level written and verbal communication skills
several years working in an Inventory Management role in a complex distribution network

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent personal presentation and ability to represent the Company in a highly professional manner
Demonstrated ability to prioritise, work to deadlines, adapt to and negotiate varying demands
Demonstrate high level internal and external customer service skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Planning and problem solving skills
