The Company:
Our client is a leading provider of professional services to the energy, resource and complex process industries in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). They manage some of the world’s leading projects with 30,000 employees across 40 countries.

The Role:
Overview:
- As a consequence of strong growth and diverse projects our client has an immediate requirement for 8 Senior Buyers to work on either the QCLNG, WICET or Alpha projects.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in leading project Procurement strategy development and implementation, as well as identifying and advising on supply and risk to provide the relevant services to the company and its clients.
- You will also be involved in pre-qualification, expressions of interest and pricing.
- This is a diverse role providing support to the relevant EPCM business units.

Responsibilities:
- Comply with Company and Project purchasing policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority.
- Work with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure specifications of materials and equipment is provided on-time.
- Identify, develop and propose sources, solicit suppliers, receive quotations and bids. Undertake negotiation of orders, follow-up, schedule and expedite deliveries.
- Ensure supplier documentation, including insurance guarantees, etc. are received in accordance with purchase order and safely stored.
- Ensure supplier documentation, including engineering, calculations, drawings, schedules and instructions/manuals are received and distributed.
- Liaise with quality, logistics and material management at supplier, Customer and contractor offices as necessary to ensure timely delivery of required goods.
- Secure and process necessary documentation to support the approval of supplier invoices as required by purchase order.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Previous EPCM experience
- Client focused, proactive, team orientated and schedule driven
- Possess sound negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
