The Company:
Our Client is a multi-discipline engineering design company providing design, procurement, project and construction management consultancy services.

The company is a flexible, responsive and pro-active business that has successfully delivered projects ranging from small-scale studies through to multi-million dollar new build programmes.

The Role:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE
• To work as part of a Project Team responsible for the production of production of Commercial Tender documentation, order placement and progress expediting to high professional standards within challenging programmes and budgets.

KEY TASKS AND MAIN DUTIES
• Prepare commercial information
• Produce Tender and order documentation.
• Co-ordinate/liaise with Engineering disciplines
• Interpret Vendor drawings/information
• Work to budgets and programmes
• Comply with Quality Management Systems
• Report activities and progress to Project Leader and Client.
• Other professional duties reasonably required

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

• Versatility and flexibility
• Pro-active and self motivated
• Commercial awareness
• Professional and responsible attitude

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
• English Language – written, spoken and technical
• Understanding of commercial conditions of contract
• Awareness of Quality Management System philosophy

ESSENTIAL SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
• IT literate
• Ability to use Word / Excel

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree preferred or qualification equivalent to UK Higher National Certificate
• Member of Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical Industries preferred.
• Selection of Terms and Conditions of Contract.
• Selection of Vendors for Project database.
• Tendering for Engineering equipment and site services.
• Contract negotiation.
• Contract placement for engineering services and contracts.
• Progressing and expediting of orders.
• Monitoring deliveries / invoice payments to contract requirements.
