The Company:
Our Client is a global group of energy and petrochemical companies, whose aim is to meet the energy needs of society, in ways that are economically, socially and environmentally viable, now and in the future. They employ around 90,000 people in more than 80 countries and territories.

The Role:
•Manage spend estimate USD $100M-$150M
•Manage 50-60 Operational Contracts (mainly Wells and Projects scopes with some Production/Engineering & Maintenance scopes) in line with contract segmentation guidelines and principles
•Purchase Order sign-off authority up to USD $500K.
•Strategically “manage tail end” spend by working in close coordination with Global Category & Suppliers (GCS)/Contracting & Procurement “in the business” (CPitB) colleagues - Maximize value from Operational Contracts and implement Enterprise-wide Frame Agreements and Category Contracts
•Work with regional Trading House Procurement Managers to optimize spend through Trading Houses
•Ensure continuity of supply through managing ad-hoc business requirements in accordance with tail spend management principles
•Work with various customers, and stakeholders within various Businesses, Functions, to execute Category Management commercial work plans, assuring supply of contracts at market competitive terms and conditions, as well as delivering value through Bottom Line Impacts.
•Deliver substantial value to the Businesses and Functions by: Contracting and Procuring services as well as developing and managing local agreements under the direction of the Local Procurement Lead and Global Category Manager as appropriate
•Applying leading edge supply chain management techniques
•Applying supply/value chain analyses and modeling
•Scoping local projects, and analyzing CP business requirements and external market dynamics
•Developing and executing commercial contract strategies as well as operationalising and commercially managing operational agreements
•Execute Group Contract Management process for assigned operational contracts
•Ensure all commercial activity is fully aligned with the Global Category Management commercial strategies and Tail spend principles
•Manage one-off Purchase Orders - Locally Operationalise selected Frame Agreements as appropriate
•Reduce/rationalize number of Contracts/ Suppliers
•Deliver end-to-end cost savings impacting bottom line

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Virtual Team: experience of working in this environment is preferred but not mandatory.
•Customer service mindset - Stakeholders spread over Aberdeen business units, wider in UK and on occasion NL/Norway
•Identify CP strategic opportunities to improve the total cost of ownership
•Adapt rapidly to changing circumstances/priorities
•Potential to work across multiple businesses, categories and manage multiple commercial project items simultaneously
•Ability to work as part of a virtual team
•Very good negotiations skills needed.
•Analyse business processes
•Develop innovative strategies and solutions
•Engage and manage Stakeholder relationships
•Communication verbally and written in an effective manner - Demonstrate basic commercial project management skills
•Be results oriented
•Demonstrate ability to deliver year on year value improvements
•Sound understanding of general Business CP requirements and CPs role and contribution to Business bottom line
