The Role:
PURPOSE
This job specification details the requirements for the role of Senior Buyer, reporting directly to the Group Procurement Manager.

PRIMARY ROLE OBJECTIVES
The Senior Buyer is responsible for ensuring goods and services are procured at the best possible price and quality, to ensure they provide the most efficient support for sites. The Senior Buyer is also responsible for management and development contracts for goods and services to meet the requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES
 Comply with the Purchasing Procedures to ensure probity, ethics and accountability are maintained.
 Manage and develop contracts for goods / services.
 To comply with the Purchasing systems and procedures to ensure good and services are procured at the best possible price and quality, to ensure they provide the most efficient
support for sites.
 Co-ordinate with all sites to support Capital and Project Procurement activities.
 Manage and maintain the invitation to tender process.
 Facilitate all invitations to tender .
 Contribute to the ongoing development and compliance with limited procurement policy, procedures and systems.
 Contract development, including terms and conditions, structure, strategy and cross-site initiatives
 Appropriate contract management, including identification of supply chain efficiencies and supplier performance issues.
 Support in relation to compliance with legal and finance functions.
