The Role:
An experienced CAD/Package engineer is required to work within the Global Clutch team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the integration, package and release into TCE of DMF, Clutch and associated clutch hydraulic release system into the C2 platform node for each manual transmission powerpack design.

Position Responsibilities:
* Assist the C2 Application team in the integration of the clutch and hydraulic release system into the vehicle to meet specific vehicle level function and attribute requirements (brand specific DNA, SDS, Global Design Standards) with responsibility for the design integration and releasing support of the systems to meet cost, weight, reliability, NVH and durability objectives.
* Support engineers with their CAD investigations: studies, screenshots, presentations & tolerance stack-up assessments. Work as a team with D&R team, program engineers and suppliers to ensure best-in-class design solutions are implemented into the C2 Platform
* Work with other functional CAD activities or trust-mark groups to identify common best practice system solutions. Ensure component engineers meet Trustmark design requirements.
* Manage CAD interface with suppliers to ensure the component data is uploaded and managed correctly through the design, release and launch phases of the C2 program
* Manage E2KS input of clutch DI*s to ensure package issues are resolved and design solutions meet all applicable WCR requirements. Demonstrated ability to deliver package solutions for P/T systems within programme constraints.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Be capable of working at a high level of proficiency without high levels of supervision. Self-motivated with excellent team skills
* Good communications skills to enable design concepts to be shared with the CPMT, supply base, vehicle and engine program teams are essential
* Awareness of vehicle and powertrain attribute requirements (e.g. NVH, Performance, Economy, emissions, etc.).
* Experience of supplier relationship management; design & development collaboration, validation and production
* Excellent powertrain engineering knowledge required , especially clutch systems, transmissions, engines and drivelines
* CATIA, IDEAS, Team Center Engineering and Vismockup experience required
* Create, update and publish data within Teamcenter. Manage BOM for Clutch parts within AVBOM/TCE system
* Detailed understanding of GD&T/Tolerancing and the challenges associated with alignment of engine, transmission and clutch. Ensure best practice is applied to C2 designs.
