The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
The Senior C & I Engineer will report directly to the CE&I Engineering Lead/Principal
Accountable to the CE&I Engineering Lead/Principal for delivering detailed and quality, underpinned control and instrumentation assigned work packages that meet the company, client, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the production of design documentation including:

- Block Cable Diagrams, Instrument Schedules and Data Sheets.
- Instrument Loop Diagrams and Instrument Piping Hook-ups.
- Panel GA’s and Wiring Schematics.
- Instrument and Equipment Location Drawings and Details.
- Equipment Specifications, Procurement Specifications.
- Installation Method Statements.
- Substantiation of C&I safety Systems

The Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer will carry out investigative work and data gathering, including site surveys at Clients sites (mainly nuclear)
The Senior C & I Engineer will check design deliverables prior to design reviews and submission to the Client.
The Senior C E & I engineer will engage in functional engineering reviews and the development of engineering design solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 5 years relevant engineering experience
• At least 3 years of relevant project design to QA procedures
• At least 1 years working within a nuclear regulated industry
• An awareness of the CDM Regulations (2007)
• An awareness of Gated Processes in the delivery of staged design project lifecycle.
• A knowledge of operational and decommissioning activities associated with nuclear facilities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• 2 years in a C&I Senior/Managerial Role.
• 5 years working within a nuclear regulated industry.
• 2 years working on Sellafield Limited Projects.
• Working knowledge of IEC61508 / EG90 requirements
• Knowledge of design based risk assessments
• Knowledge or experience of working with a lifecycle for safety related systems.
