The Role:
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

FMEA Generation: Undertaking Concept and Design FMEA generation from system to detailed component level.
Plan & manage FMEA Process: Format FMEA, agree severity ratings, agree occurrence ratings, agree detection ratings, review and mediate FMEA team contributions.
Co-ordinate contributing FMEA team: Define analysis level, define sub-product breakdown, assemble sub product contributions, control formal release(s).
Manage Customer Processes, Interfaces and Reviews: Present status and detailed content to customers.
Support PFMEA Generation: Generate FMEA data in support of production processes.
Support Safety Analysis: Generate FMEA data in support of ISO 26262 work products and processes.
Support Verification and Test: Generate FMEA data in support of verification and test activities, and update FMEA with results of such verification and test.
Support internal and external design teams with direction resulting from FMEA analysis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate requirements:

Educated to degree level (in a relevant subject).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of FMEA generation using Byteworx / APIS IQ-FMEA.
Experienced in Chassis/Electronic/BIW Design analysis.
Experience in key safety analysis processes (e.g. ISO 26262).
Excellent communication skills; particularly reporting.
Automotive system design, attribute decomposition and requirements definition experience.
Excellent team-working and communication skills.
An understanding of related Vehicle systems.

Specific Skills:
• Byteworx / APIS IQ-FMEA.
• ASIL/ ISO26262.
• 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
