The Company:
Our client is a global market leader within the energy sector with projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Here in Australia, they are involved in one of the largest LNG projects with operations spanning exploration, production and downstream. Join this exciting project and be part of a world renowned company.

The Role:
Our global client is currently looking to recruit a senior commercial advisor to join their team in Darwin; residential is preferred however FIFO will be considered for the right candidate. The role will report directly to the Lead EPC commercial advisor and support senior contracts manager.
Duties will include the following;
* Offering exceptional commercial and contractual advice as well as manage resolution of CORs, CO's, impending claims, Contract alterations and any other EPC related work
* Evaluate CORs submitted by Contractor and prepare Company clarifications
* Negotiate CORs and claims with Contractor to achieve resolution
* Take a lead role in reviewing the content of CORs with applicable Company Contracts Engineers and package technical and management personnel
* Liaise as necessary with Legal to obtain advise on CORs
* Prepare brief's, business cases and input into resolution of claims and COR's
* Work closely with Onshore cost control team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Professional Quantity Surveying qualification (ARICS or AIQS), Law, Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification and with 20 plus years of relevant experience
* 10 years plus experience in Project Contracts/Project Services, particularly in Structural Steel Fabrication as well as Mechanical, Electrical and Construction, ideally LNG - Brown and Greenfields.
* Direct managerial experience (desirable).
