The Role:
Job Description:

* Take up role as a business partner all areas of the business to ensure all aspects of the
commercial offer are satisfied.
* Responsible for working alongside the new project acquisition team and assisting them in
drawing up proposals, building financial models for various business cases and carrying out
due diligence on potential client acquisitions.
* Aware top manager of how company profit changes how the company as a whole operates.
* To outline how decisions made will affect the long-term operation of the business.
* Discovering areas that are not in keeping with regulation practices
* Reviewing, scrutinizing, and developing operational process flows
* Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties
* Ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand
and adhere to contractual obligations; reflecting them accurately
* Oversee project procurement ensuring best practice is employed and project objectives are
met.
* Engage in contract negotiation, risk management and marketing management.
* Prepare, negotiate and settle claims for contractual entitlement
* Prepare and review monthly project cost / value reconciliations
* Ensure commercial procedures are adhered to and reports issued in a timely fashion.
* Work closely with the Construction Directors providing sound commercial and contractual
advice at project level.
* Oversee the fiscal management of projects; prepare cash flow forecasts for group use.
* Work closely with clients to ensure expectations are met.
* Contribute to work winning and tendering of new projects
* Support the project team in developing the appropriate project procurement/commercial/
contractual strategies
* Carry out the assessments of capability and capacity of the existing suppliers and other
potential suppliers to ensure they are competent
* Review and approve the contract cost matrix for use in the contract documentation
* Approve monthly valuations/payments for the project manager including verifying
effectiveness, site measurement
* Approve certificate for payment and any notices of withholding to the consultant, supplier
and contractor to allow invoicing


Skills & Experience
* Degree educated or equivalent in law, Business Management or relevant
* Ideally experienced in contracting with extensive experience of procurement strategies and
activities
* Experience in preparing and negotiating the legal and commercial aspects of sizeable
construction contracts
* Significant experience of commercial contract management some of which would ideally be
within the international construction
* Experience of commercially managing investment projects
* Understanding of design and construction forms of contract
* Strong managerial experience
