Our client is a large oil and gas operator with a global reach. With new exploration, drilling and developments as well as existing operational onshore and offshore assets in the North Sea, Africa and South America. The Role:
Based in London to support completions and well testing for Africa the Completions / Well Test Engineer will work closely with all disciplines, in particular the facilities and G&G teams in London. You will be responsible for developing completions concepts and designs for well engineering. This will require regular communication with the in country completions and well test operations teams to offer guidance and support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent

Strong petroleum experience.
Completion and well test engineering experience essential plus knowledge of production and geology
Knowledge of industry normal practices associated with testing, work-over, wire-line and completion operations.
Experience of artificial lift (PCP & ESP), completions and current downhole sand control solutions.
Understanding of well control techniques and tubing and casing design.
The engineering criteria associated with completion, testing and production operations.
Recognition of importance of HSE and embedding good practices.
Familiar with API and other recognised industry standards and recommended practices.
Understanding of geological and petroleum engineering priorities and well associated requirements.
Well budgets and cost allocation and monitoring; cost optimisation techniques.
Good software skills for well/completions/testing design.
