The Role:
Senior Completions Engineer to work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on flexible rotation basis for a maximum of 7 months from October 2016 until June 2017

The initial requirement will commence early October 2016 and a flexible rotation of approx. 6 weeks on and two week off is preferred depending on workload and the objectives. The candidate MUST be currently and permanently located in South East Asia with flexibility on working durations.

Reporting to the Drilling and Completion Manager, the Senior Completions Engineer is responsible for the concept and detailed design of the completions for the development wells, the procurement and installation of fit for purpose proven equipment and the preparation of detailed operational procedures for the installation of the completions.

Specific Tasks and Deliverables (but not limited to):

• Sand Control Design - open-hole gravels to ensure minimal damage to the reservoir during drilling and gravel packing.
• Upper Completion design – tubing size, metallurgy selection, and component selection
• Tubing Stress Analysis using WELLCAT
• Prepare technical requirements for Tenders. Prepare Commercial model for all completion equipment and services contracts. Prepare budgetary estimation for well completion operations
• Finalise completion design with the service providers
• Participate in the SIT of the Horizontal Subsea Tree
• Supervise the activities of two (2) completion engineers during the preparation for operations. This will also include supervision offshore during the operational phase

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 15 years in the Oil Industry with a proven track record of completions and gravel packing.
• A comprehensive understanding of formation damage and the required testing protocols to ensure minimal formation damage during drilling, gravel packing and clean up.
• Extensive experience in completions and associated equipment specification, procurement, testing and installation and project management.
• Previous involvement in subsea projects with subsea equipment interfaces and running procedures.
• Extensive offshore practical experience on semi-submersibles with a minimum of 5 years in an offshore drilling environment with an E&P Operator
