The Role:
To provide constructability input and integration with Engineering functions commencing in Concept Definition and for all subsequent project phases of this offshore Floating LNG project to ensure that construction aspects pertaining to FLNG are fully incorporated in the design such that integrity is established and can be demonstrated.
He/she is primarily accountable for ensuring that the FLNG Concept Definition contractors and later the FLNG consortium of contractors effectively deliver all Construction activities associated with the design and deployment of FLNG from Concept Definition through FEED, detailed design, construction, installation hook up and commissioning support.

Construction/Technical :
Provide pragmatic input to the Concept Definition and achieve cost effective solutions for construction, integration and pre-commissioning
Maintain close liaison with the project team to support and develop Constructability activities during the project phases in line with the Project Execution Plan.
Identify changes to design and evaluate risks related to constructability.
Review and monitor potential changes and evaluate risks related to installation.
Establish and/or further develop project operations strategies, procedures and controls.
Monitor and review the Contractors deliverables on matters relating to Construction.
Respond to constructability related queries of the Contractor.
Provide input to the Constructability process through Concept Definition, FEED and detail design and ensuring that FLNG Construction Activity strategies and plans developed are consistent with the demands of FLNG.
Input to the development of Construction HSSE and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) plans aligned with Company and the legislative requirements
Assure the development of Quality Assurance plans for Construction Activities that establish technical integrity of the designed facilities
Development of the Construction Work Scope, Man-hour estimates and Construction Management requirements with FLNG contracting consortia for inclusion into the converted Lump Sum element of the EPCI contract
Development of the Construction Management budget estimate for inclusion in Company Cost estimate
To ensure that synergies across the FLNG and Upstream scope are identified and potential cost savings introduced
Developing Leading Construction driven Key Performance Indicators across HSSE, Quality, Cost and Schedule
Assurance of Contractors implementation of the Completions Management System and associated Database that provides real time stage acceptance status and supports the Right First Time Project Delivery effort ensuring and seamless handover to Commissioning and Operations groups.
Building long-term strategic relationships with the Concept Definition contractors and latterly the consortia and other contracting partners ensuring that consortia deliver a quality product that conforms to the standards specified without causing harm to people or the environment and to the agreed cost and schedule

He/she participates and contribute to:
Constructability workshops and reviews
3-D model reviews.
Development of pragmatic cost effective solutions
HSE and HFE sessions during Concept Definition/FEED/EPCI phase ensuring that the construction meets the functional requirements of the standards
Right First Time Project Delivery
Commissioning & Start Up during Concept Definition/FEED/EPCIC phases
Review of planning updates and analysis of critical path activities
Achievement of quality, reliability, operability & maintainability over the full life cycle

Financial/Commercial : Contribute to and review CAPEX OPEX trade off

People & Development :
Contribute to the development of the Project organisation for all project phases
Manage & coach project engineers to deliver safety in design in a continuous improvement culture
Maintain productive working interfaces with internal & external stakeholders

Health, Safety & Environment :
Represents Company core values and be recognised as a safety leader
Actively promotes safety awareness and safe work practices aligned with HSE Management plans
Actively promotes environmentally responsible work practices and compliance with environmental plans

Internal/External Relationships :
All LNG Project staff, Stakeholders and Group gaz and LNG personnel.
Contract organisation personnel, Specialist Advisors and contractors, and Key supplier and service provider management, as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education/Training : MSc/BSc in Engineering or vocational equivalent; Chartered engineer highly regarded.

Minimum 15+ years’ experience in range of project management area with a proven record in construction and management for FPSO, Turret, Mooring system and Topsides Oil & Gas Processing Facilities this also includes Installation at site and Hook Up, the modularisation and subsequent integration of the modules to the hull, The integration of the TMS to hull; minimum 5+ years’ experience in Engineering activities,
International work experience in projects for all stages – Pre Feed, Feed and Execute
Significant working experience with major shipyards
Working construction experience for onshore LNG plant
Drive for cost effective technical solution
Experienced in the development, implementation and management of major contracts
Proven track record in the development of major greenfield projects, during early projects stages through to offshore hook-up, comm
