This is a contract role with our client, Chevron Canada Limited, with headquarters located at 500, Fifth Avenue SW, Calgary, AB, T2P 0L7 in the Chevron Plaza building, has a proud legacy of exploration success for over 75 years. Job Description
The Senior Construction Engineer: Camps and Infrastructure will be responsible for the following:

The Senior Construction Engineer Camps and Infrastructure will be required to supervise and safely coordinate the efforts and activities of multiple contractors in and throughout the construction of the LNG project and Construction Camp. This position requires organization, and superior knowledge of multifunctional aspects of remote camp and Refinery infrastructure construction, logistics, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

As a Senior Construction Engineer: Camps and Infrastructure your main duties will involve:
• Reports directly to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager
• Understand scope of work for all Camps and Infrastructure construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Understand overall project schedule, and develop detailed schedules for Camps and Infrastructure activities to support system completion.
• Supervise punch list preparation [deficiencies] for construction’s use in preparing various systems for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Have superior knowledge of all aspects of Camps and Infrastructure engineering, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Be able to read and understand all standard engineering and vendor documents required for Camps and Infrastructure construction.
• Understand thoroughly the job specifications and vendor requirements related to various items of Camps and Infrastructure systems required for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Supervise the efforts of several other Camps and Infrastructure supervisors in the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning effort.
• Communicate and coordinate with department supervisors, and with EPC execution, HSE, engineering and pre-commissioning organization.

As a Senior Construction Engineer: Camps and Infrastructure you will have experience:
• Have demonstrated “in-charge” and safe experience as a camps and/or infrastructure superintendent and engineer.
• Experience working on a team at Construction Sites with logistics from international locations required.
• Five (5+) Years of Camps and Refinery Infrastructure Construction and Commissioning Experience
• Projects and Construction with working knowledge of Remote Camp and Refinery Construction with direct “hands on” experience in international work being required.
• Working knowledge of Industry specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
• Working knowledge of practices, processes, and expectations with respect to Systems Completion and Commissioning
• Must be able to work well within a diverse large multi-cultural jobsite.
• Must be a high initiative, high energy engineer, able to work well with little supervision.
• Possess those minimum computer skills required to be effective in the performance of the work.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Industry HSE standards and procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Previous successful construction engineering role during Project Management and Construction execution phases.

Please note this position will be based out of Kitimat at 369 City Centre Kitimat, BC, V8C 1T6.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 10 years + of International Oil Company major capital project construction experience is required.

EDUCATION
High school graduate as a minimum. Higher National Certificate in Engineering or related discipline preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The Senior Construction Engineer: Camps and Infrastructure must have the ability to read, write and understand the English language in a highly competent manner. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills are mandatory.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
The Senior Construction Engineer: Camps and Infrastructure must be able to work in office and construction site environments and interact with team members and contractors throughout the day while contributing to a positive “One Team” work environment.

Job Offer
This is a full time contract position for one year with the possibility of a contract extension.

A daily rate of $1,200- $1,750 per day will be extended to the select
