The Company:
Our client is a global market leader within the energy sector with projects in over 30 countries worldwide. Here in Australia, they are involved in one of the largest LNG projects with operations spanning exploration, production and downstream. Join this exciting project and be part of a world renowned company.

The Role:
We are now searching for an experienced Senior Construction Engineer, CCPP to join our site team in Darwin. The primary responsibility for the role is to support the Area Lead CCPP in planning, supervision and pre-commissioning of the Combined Cycle Power Plant activities at Bladin Point Site

* Acting as Deputy CCPP Area Lead .
* Daily coordination of activities with lead contractor and its relevant subcontractor
* Attend any necessary progress coordination meetings
* Mentor contractor and its subcontractor to ensure timely completion of CCPP activities in line with Safety and Quality objectives of the Project
* Extensive Physical presence on the subcontractor worksite and offices.
* Assure RFT program implementation follow-up within its field of competencies
* Project Completion oriented, completion tools monitoring, including punch management within its field of competencies
* Strong support to Commissioning Team
* Attend HSE management walk down on regular basis once a week
* Fill in regularly observation cards from Contractor or Subcontractor' system (at least 5 per week).
* Ensure Lost Prevention Inspection and Hi Risk Assessment are being carried out on regular basis
* Ensure that contractor and it relevant contractor are safely monitoring and coordinating the activities more specifically the PTW procedures.
* Regularly attend Subcontractors pre-start
* Provide daily and weekly report to the CCPP area Lead
* To identify any Cost Saving opportunity within its field of competency

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Demonstrable experience of compliance to HSE Management systems and procedures
* Able to interpret drawings and construction schedules and to understand specifications and/or Standards and knowledge of Australian Workplace and/or Safety Legislation
* Sound understanding of the oil and gas business including building and infrastructure development projects
* Familiar with: generators / Motor, gas & Steam and gas turbines, heavy lifts, piping, vessels
* Experience with major project construction.
* Experience as Client (Operator) on EPC Projects
* Experience working with multinational Contractors
