The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Job Purpose:
• Support the Project in meeting its objectives through the development of contracting strategies, the composition and issue of invitations to tender, objective bid evaluation, contract negotiation, preparation and award of the final contract, coupled with post award administration and reporting, contractor performance management


• Develops contracting strategy
• Reviews specifications and scope of work and further develops these into a clearly articulated expression of commercial intent.
• Responsible for development, compilation and conduct of pre-qualification exercises, invitation to tender documentation, tender openings and evaluation of tenders received, including detailed analysis of commercial and contractual qualifications, exceptions and deviations.
• Ensures governance and compliance obligations are fully addressed and documented
• Oversees administration of contracts through to close out.
• Addresses variations and claims with contractors
• Provides support to Project Team in support of the contract management process, on post-award contractual interpretation and administration matters
• Provides regular management reports on activities
• Attends progress meetings and presents management updates

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years proven experience.
• Predominantly contracts formulation and negotiation experience for offshore project developments (including pipelay, manifolds, installation activities) with substantive exposure to all disciplines and issues within the supply chain. Complete understanding of significant legal and commercial issues within supply chain
• International exposure within an oil and gas operating environment.
• Oil and gas subsea projects contracting experience, coupled with contracts management activities.
• Proven experience of negotiating complex contracts is paramount; with the following academic qualifications being advantageous:
• Preferably to Degree level in a business, engineering or management related subject.
• CIPS preferred.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with diverse business drivers and variables.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• English language and numeracy skills. High level of competency in MS Word and Excel.
