The Role:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
• Provides analytical support for contract negotiations with guidance from subject matter expert.
• Assist Project Manager in all aspects of administration of project contracts.
• Reviews scope of work and ensures that document contains core elements.
• Advise, as necessary, on project contract matters, including soliciting input from company Procurement and Legal groups
• Ensure that contract correspondence, documentation and records are being prepared and are current.
• Administers post award contract activities, including contractor insurance and verification, contract start-up, maintaining contract files and record retention, monitoring, and close-out, receipt of contract obligations, amendments, contract extensions or renewals. Also assures activities are complete in the appropriate procurement systems.
• Responsible to ensure that requests for variations are reviewed, responded and resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensuring checking, reviewing and endorsing of contractor invoices submitted for approval.
• Provide leadership in resolving contractor claims and participating in negotiations with contractor, as necessary.
• Provide project claims avoidance & mitigation advice, as necessary.
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills, demonstrated problem solving capacity, and effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to gather information and develop a thorough understanding of the project, while providing strong leadership skills within a diverse cross-functional team is essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Executes data entry, creates adhoc reports and ensures complete contract documentation is loaded in the designated P/SCM systems (i.e. SAP, etc.)
• Participates in periodic reviews of contracting procedure and in establishing key business process improvements.

Education, Experience,
Skills and Knowledge.
• 20 - 40 years of experience in contracts management, subcontract bid proposals, subcontract strategy, field contracts, risk management, procurement, and craft resources management
• 4 year undergraduate university degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management required.

• Ability to effectively lead a team, ensuring the decision making process is clear the all team members.
• Ability to actively seek out information in areas across the business
