The Company:
Our client is a leading operator with oil and gas projects in multiple locations across Africa and Europe. Due to continued growth and to enable the support of operations we are now looking to appoint a Senior Contracts Advisor – Wells Engineering to be based in Ghana.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following key activity and responsibility:

• Support the Wells Engineering operational teams in the development & execution of their procurement strategies,
• Assist in the preparation of invitations to tender, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, preparation and award of the final contracts.
• Post award administration and reporting, contractor performance management.
• Develops & implements relevant procurement strategies – including the development of local content plans and initiatives
• Ensures governance and compliance obligations are fully addressed and documented through out the procurement process.
• Administration of contracts through to close out.
• Addresses variations and claims with contractors.
• Provides support to contract owners or budget holders in support of the contract management process.
• Provides regular management reports on activities.
• Drives supplier performance and supports the operational teams in the performance review process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive applications from candidates with the following key skills and experience:

• Degree qualification (preferred) and CIPS
• Knowledge of Wells Engineering (Drilling and Completions) procurement in the Oil & Gas industry
• Significant exposure to supply chain processes with proven experience of negotiating complex contracts
• International exposure within an oil and gas operating environment and experience working on complex projects.
• Report construction and writing; engagement of peers & contractors to do the same.
• English language and numeracy skills
