The Company:
Our client is a global, diversified, upstream oil and gas company, headquartered in Canada with three main operating areas are North America, the North Sea and Southeast Asia.

The Role:
A Senior Contracts Analyst within Company UK’s Supply Chain Management team is required to provide strong SCM leadership and support internal client representatives (Technical Champions, Business Leaders and HSE partners) on all aspects of Supply Chain Management.

The role is embedded within Company UK’s SCM function and reports to SCM for functional support and reports to the Project Manager for delivery of the Subsea activities that contribute towards delivering the Project on time and within budget.

The role is expected to contribute significantly to the Company's performance targets, derive solutions which offer predictability in Project delivery and procurement cycle times whilst ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, regulations and laws and mitigating Company’s exposure to relevant commercial/contractual risks.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

To lead the SCM aspects of Subsea scopes of work for of a major capital Project within the Company Projects Department;
To deliver SCM value opportunities to the Projects;
To support the SCM and Project leadership in the delivery of the Project.
Applying good business judgment and decision making to ensure proper and timely negotiation of detailed agreements to support business objectives.
Manage the contracting cycle for high value, sensitive, complex and high profile Projects.
Provide coaching to internal clients on the application of modern SCM principles.
Act as key focal point for Project Manager regarding the development and implementation of Contracting strategies.
Ensure all contracts reflect Company approved contracting positions.
Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for contractors to drive continuous improvement.
Develop relevant negotiating plans, RFQ’s/ITT’s in line with Company requirements.
Develop and approve relevant Tendering and Evaluation plans.
Develop Award recommendations for Senior Management approval.
Negotiate and draft contracts for various subsea aspects of a major project.
Leading and managing contractor delivery through a process of Supplier Performance Management.
Manage change effectively (VOR’s, Amendments) through the life cycle of the main contracting documentation (PO’s, SO’s & Contracts).
Work in an open and cooperative manner with relevant contractors to ensure Company UK’s business delivery needs are understood and met.
Build key relationships with internal client groups and leadership.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally Graduate in Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Finance, Law or other relevant subject.
Experience of Contracts & Procurement activities associated with Major Projects.
Experience of Subsea developments.
Oil & Gas Supply Chain in Projects within the North Sea.
Oil and Gas Operator experience is essential
Able to lead and influence a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external)
Commercially & Contractually astute
Excellent Communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Self reliant
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to take responsibility & challenge constructively
Meeting facilitation expertise
Multi-media Presentation skills
Advanced negotiation skills

Ability to structure & solve problems using initiative, imagination & resourcefulness
