The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer - Drilling with Contracts and Procurement experience, preferably in the Offshore Drilling environment. In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects related to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award, as well as execution, management and close-out of contracts.

Other key responsibilities include:

-Performing market trend investigation and benchmarking to ensure suppliers are quoting competitively and aligned to industry standards
-Coordinating on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues
-Negotiation of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation
-Preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts Committee and various JV approval committees
-Ensure Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
-Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities
-Finalise award and participate in management of Contracts
-Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are identified early and managed in accordance with the company’s procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional qualification
-Minimum of 10 years Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably in Offshore Drilling Environment
-Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering or services / consultancy practices
-SAP skills (MM module) & Procon skills
-Ability to multi-task and excellent understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
