The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Engineer to leadd contracts administration of assigned project contracts carried out to a high standard in accordance with established procedures. Ensure that all contractual processes and decisions are in accordance with Client requirements, are transparent and supported by appropriate documentation. When required, provide project management with appropriate contractual advice.

Please note that the fisrt part will be in Paddington, UK for initial 6-12 mth, with requirement to relocate to Tblisi, Georgia thereafter


Promote Client HSE commitment by example
Support PSCM line manager to ensure that all required contract reporting systems are established and maintained in accordance with project requirements, and that accurate reports are provided to project management.
Liaise with and support Contract Supplier Performance Leaders, Technical Specialists and delivery team leads regarding all contract matters.
Liaise with Project Services personnel and to ensure coordinated approach and consistency between cost reporting and contractual requirements.
Liaise, as required, with project contract and procurement personnel based in U.K.
Maintain functional reporting link to project Contracts Execution Manager.
Maintain contacts and liaise as required with Client Legal, Tax, Insurance departments.
Monitor contractors reporting and investigate any anomalies.
Identify unresolved contractual problems to the PSCM line Manager and Lead liaison with Contract Supplier Performance Leaders, Technical Specialists and delivery leads.
Administration of Procon system for designated Contracts.
Lead, Review and resolve, including necessary internal consultations, any VOR’s or claims – issue VO’s or Amendments, as necessary.
Prepare contractual and commercial correspondence, and ensure maintenance of correspondence files.
Advise regarding interpretation and implementation of the terms and conditions of the project contracts.
Maintain auditable contract records.
Provide input into project budgets and cost forecasting, as required.
Provide contractual input to project risk reviews.
Coach and ensure the development and training of local contracts officers to required competency levels. Develop personal skills and knowledge base with guidance and mentoring support of PSCM Line Manager and Contracts team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Contracts professional with a proven track record in major E&P Onshore construction (pipelines, terminals, compression facilities and associated services) contract strategy implementation, pre-award contract development post award contracts administration.
Essential Criteria
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of contract and commercial law
Thorough understanding of contract terms and conditions
Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to assess the commercial risks associated with specific contracts
Good organisation and planning skills, with an ability to maintain progress on a number of tasks
Experience and ability to lead a small team of Contract Administrators / Quantity Surveyors in a Post Award contract environment
Preferably Degree or Professional Qualification in Business , Engineering or Quantity Surveying
Computer literate
HSSE aware
