The Company:
Our Client is one of the world’s leading energy companies and is focusing its efforts on the appraisal and development of a few offshore natural gas fields in Australia. The valuation of these fields requests the application of a new and innovative concept, where our Client will draw on its many years of LNG experience.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Senior Contract Engineer to prepare document and manage tender activities according to project procedures and project objectives.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Formulate the best tendering strategy depending on the type of contract, value and the time available;
• Prepare pre-qualification tenders for various types of contracts and Co-ordinate the evaluation of pre-qualification bids with user departments;
• Prepare call for tender documents, and Co-ordinate the evaluation of pre-qualification bids with user departments;
• Prepare the RFA including assessment and mitigation of risks related to the contract award.

In this role you will also administrate contracts from contract award to contract close-out according to project procedures, where you will:

• Develop Contract management plans and measure the performance of contracts;
• Attend weekly and monthly contract related meetings and ensures all contractual obligations are met through contract lifecycle;
• Prepare minutes, change orders and other contract related documentation;
• Contribute to the preparation and negotiation of large EPCI contracts and shipbuilding contracts;
• Contribute to the preparation of the Project contracting Strategy;
• Actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices aligned with HSE Management plans.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to fulfil the role you must have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• In this role you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, a post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded;
• Demonstrated experience of contract negotiation and contract administration in a large Oil & Gas Operator and/or Service Provider organization;
• Experience in subsea facilities and/or EPC type contract negotiation and administration;
• Experience of design competition contracts would be highly regarded;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with partners and external entities, strong organisational, time management skills, and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
