The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer – Logistics to provide contracts engineering support on various logistics related contracts in the on and offshore environment. The Logistics related contracts will range from Helicopter services, freight forwarding services, Flotel and PSV services etc. In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects related to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award, as well as execution, management and close-out of contracts.

Other key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating, developing and implementing Contracting Strategies for major contracting activities
* Performing market trend investigation and benchmarking to ensure suppliers are quoting competitively and aligned to industry standards
* Coordinating on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues
* Ensuring Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented
* Resolving all issues independently inline with C&P procedures and pro-actively with minimal support
* Developing and maintaining a 5 year (or as far as can reasonably be for seen) Contracting Plan for the department

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
* Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional qualification
* Strong Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably from within an oil and gas operating environment
* Experience in Logistics related contracts in on and offshore environment
* Direct supervisory experience
* Experience with SAP
* Experience in educating others with professionalism, sensitivity and tact
* Ability to multi-task and excellent understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
