Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company playing a key role in supplying energy to our region.

They are one of the world’s leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Role:
The Senior Contracts Specialist in the Technology Division will underpin delivery of the objectives of the Technology Division as follows:
 Lead the execution of commercial contracting activities for Subsurface Technology initiatives.
 Complete the commercial contracting responsibilities for the Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) project phase one.
 Negotiate a strategic partnership with a company that offers expertise in algorithm development, software development and implementation of high performance computing hardware.
 Negotiate study agreements, joint industry project agreements and consortium agreements for engineering, technology and research studies across the Technology Division.
 Deliver robust recommendations and business cases for award of small to medium sized contracts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Demonstrated experience to develop, negotiate, award, administer medium-risk supply-side contracts
 Experienced practitioner in commercial contracting including confidentiality agreements
 Assisted in the development of effective contracting strategies for complex contracts
 5+ years industry experience- execution, procurement or commercial contracts
 Commerce or similar degree-qualified
 Support solving highly-complex commercial/ business issues with commercial solutions - front-end framing/ strategy development
 Demonstrated ability to develop/ get endorsed commercial mandates/ negotiation strategies
 Comfortable working in uncertain business environment
 Expertise in communicating complex commercial issues to facilitate business outcomes
 Demonstrated ability to tackle challenging tasks with positive outcomes
 Solid written/ verbal communication skills
 Strong attention to detail
 Experience negotiating IP-related provisions
