The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
For our client we are looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer to join a large team based in their Perth office. In this role you will provide contracts engineering support to Central C&P department on various scopes as assigned, including assisting the department Lead Contracts Engineer in mentoring the other team members. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award & execution and management and close out of contracts.

Other key responsibilities include:

•Ensures the implementation of efficient management reporting processes for the contracts and procurement
•Deliver and report on cost saving efforts in the contracting process
•Ensure market trend investigation and benchmark activity within the industry is efficiently performed to ensure contractors & suppliers are quoting competitively and in line with the industry standard
•Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues with relevant internal stakeholders
•Negotiation of Contractors qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation
•Preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts Committee and various JV approval committees
•Ensure Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
•Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities
•Finalise award and participate in management of Contracts. Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are identified early and managed in accordance with procedures
•Full and proper utilization of Contract Management System “Procon”

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance or related areas. Other experience and skills requirements:

•Significant experience in managing a large group of contracts and procurement professionals in a project.
•Experience in delivering contract management services in a large multi billion dollar project.
•Extensive experience in successfully managing project / contract controls for large scale development projects for the client organisation.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to a large organisation’s strategic planning process.
•Articulate communicator and accomplished presenter with highly developed interpersonal skills and facilitation of teamwork ethos.
•Highly organised, systematic approach to project management.
•Accomplished team leader and role model for professional personnel.
