The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
This role is located in London during 2011 and relocation beginning of 2012 to Asia region for 3 years.

Primary Objective
• Under the direction of CPF/FPSO Senior Project Engineer , deliver a design that meets the requirements of the project in safety, reliability, operability and maintainability throughout its 40yr service life.

Occupational Health and Safety
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times
• Ensure CPF/FPSO ICSS & Package PLC's design are in compliance with Australian Safety Case requirements

Environment
• Ensure CPF/FPSO ICSS & Package PLC's system design minimizes the impact on the environment in line with project requirements

Technical
• Have detailed understanding and knowledge of ICSS System design including Process Control, Safety Instrumented System, Fire & Gas System, HIPS System and Asset Management System . Have experience of working with an ICSS manufacturer in a development role
• Have knowledge and experience to specify and select ICSS system specification and equipment including emergency control and shutdown requirements.
• Have knowledge to determine function requirements from Project Documentation ( PID’s , control narratives) , produce application specifications, participate in their development and test processes.
• Support/advise the project team and Contractors on ICSS and Package PLC’s system design, construction and offshore hookup and commissioning of the CPF/FPSO to meet project requirements.
• Have understanding of the design aspects of other engineering disciplines including process, electrical, instrumentation, Telecommunication etc
• Conducts inspection and factory acceptance tests on behalf of Company at ICSS & Package vendor premises
• Prepare technical reports and presentations as required
• Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures
• Ensure project BOD is updated as required in line with project procedures
• Organize, manage and control third party support studies as required
• Organize and plan technical discipline reviews as required
•Any job specifically identified by the Engineering Manger to seek the technical completeness/organization of the discipline work

Risk Management
• Assist in identifying project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required
• Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with the CPF design are achieved in accordance with project milestone dates, budget and technical requirements of BOD
• Direct/advise Contractors on all aspects of design, construction, installation and offshore hookup and commissioning of the CPF to meet project requirements
• Manage and control work undertaken by Contractor
• Support QA/QC Project staff and interfaces with Contractor personnel.
• Monitor/review and report progress of the work in a timely manner
• Organize regular progress/technical meetings with Contractor
• Provide guidance and input into Contractor strategies/procedures and specifications with respect to ICSS system for design, procurement, construction, installation and offshore hookup and commissioning of CPF
• Participate in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP’s, Design Reviews, Constructability Reviews etc
• Review and comment of Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely manner
• Coordinate our client's discipline comments on Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely manner

Interfaces
• Ensure interface requirements with the subsea facilities FPSO, onshore facilities are incorporated into the CPF design.
• Ensure operations and maintenance requirements are incorporated in the design
• Ensure interfaces between the CPF hull and topside are managed and integrated as required
• Discuss/agree JV Partner involvement in discipline technical design reviews as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary Engineering Degree
• Min 15yrs experience in process control and safety system design of Offshore Oil and Gas Facilities preferably with some experience associated with Floating Facilities
• High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, precommissioning, installation and offshore hookup and commissioning of CPF
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Excellent written skills in English
• Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures
