The Company:
Our Client, a major international owner/operating company, seeks expertise for their Oil Sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The key area of responsibility of this role is to support the Oil Sand Projects in terms of all Document Management and coordination function.

Accountabilities:

• Manage and coordinate the document management function in the projects according to Client's best practice.
• Establish routines and implement systems for capturing, handling, storing, distribution and archiving of documentation in the project teams including sites.
• Establish and implement plan and procedure for document management in projects.
• Establish and maintain the document distribution matrix.
• Ensure traceability for all documentation during the project execution period.
• Implement and coordinate the use of eRoom in the project.
• Inform and train project members in the use of routines and document management systems.
• Inform and train Document Controllers in performing their document management tasks according to best practice.
• Secure communication and interface with asset owner RIM (Records Information Manager), LCI (Life Cycle Information) Coordinator, DM (Document Management) leading advisor(s) and other relevant disciplines
• Liaison eRoom activities with the Home Support Team
• Organise DM self-assessments
• Retrieval of project documentation
• Ensure that document management requirements are included in all contracts in the project
• Execute document management verifications towards contractors
• Ensure closure of document management processes at project close-out, issue a close-out report with an overview of all documentation produced in the project
• Experience working in international multidiscipline project teams
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science (minimum) or combination of Records Management accreditation and relevant experience.
• 5-10 years of experience handling administrative, technical engineering or supplier documentation, along with document management systems is preferred
• Experience working with Owners and/or EPC contractors is required.
