The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide. In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join the team. This is a 12 month contract position based in Perth CBD working with the Offshore GEP team.

The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for the cost control functions through the development phase of the project.

The main duties of this contract position will be but not limited to:

• Development of a work breakdown structure and cost breakdown structure.
• Preparation of budget inputs for the project.
• Allocation of commitments to budgets.
• Monitoring and assessment of commitments, variations and value of work done.
• Estimation of changes.
• Calculation of month end cash flow estimate and final forecast costs.
• Monitoring contingency usage.
• Preparation of monthly cost reports.
• Verification of invoice and cash call from Vendor.
• Preparation and monitoring of AFE’s.
• Provision of cost support and guidance to the Project team.
• Establishment of comprehensive cost control procedures.

The role will require a multi-disciplinary approach across internal project teams and overseas representative offices to deliver robust cost control measures for the Project. This role also requires interfacing closely with the Project Accountants, regarding invoice tracking and payment, accruals,
cash calls and reconciliation of expenditure.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key skills & experience required:

• Cost control experience in Offshore Facilities (upstream).
• Excellent hands-on experience in cost control and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• University graduate with minimum 5 years cost control in Oil & Gas industry.
• Familiar with central project cost control procedures with previous employment in Client/Operating Company organisations.
• Have sufficient knowledge and background to identify potential cost control issues/mitigation measures and have the skills to prepare succinct analysis.
• Demonstrated abilities to analyse in detail identify options and recommend logical solutions to deviations/problems.
• Ability to create/update cost control methods, procedures and work instructions to reflect the latest project execution philosophies.
