Job Location: South East
Rate/Salary: Negotiable
Duration: 12 Months +
Residency: UK/EU

The Company:
A large multinational oil and gas company.

The Role:
To provide full Cost Engineering, Work Management, Analysis and Cost Control guidance and also provide accurate cost reporting and control on a range of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contracts to be awarded by the Project Team.

Responsibilties include but are not limited to:
• Maintain Cost Control methodologies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain Cost Reporting system using Excel or Access.
• Develop and maintain all Cost Reports and associated back-up including trends and trend registers.
• Attend trend meetings with all levels of management
• Produce value of work done and expenditure phasing by each contract / cost centre.
• Execute Cost Control for both Contract and In house management costs.
• Carry out cost Risk Analysis and management reserve utilisation (contingency).
• Produce estimates as required and annual / Multi Year budgets.
• Control Contractors reimbursable manpower and all related services.
• To ensure all contractors invoices are verified before submission for payment and are fully in compliance with administrative contractual requirements.
• Support Project Engineers in developing estimates and contracts cost control.
• To provide services including assistance during contract preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration and verification of contractual payments.
• Assist Area Co-ordinator with presentation data.
• Ability to initiate and supervise all aspects of cost engineering, including contract administration, budget preparation and cost reporting.
• Shall monitor time writing process, identify problems and offer solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry in a similar role essential, preferably on major projects.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent preffered.
