The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost Engineer who is experienced with high level project planning abilities. The person requires an extensive experience in setting up cost budgets, cost engineering and control, forecasting expected final cost, use of work and cost breakdown structures, application of contingencies, and CAPEX phasing. Previous experience of Kildrummy ® Cost Manager (KCM) experience would be highly desirable but not essential.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Continually assess cost performance on the project to properly track and report control budgets and forecast expected final outcome. Actively communicate cost performance status to budget owners with appropriate insights to assist in decision making.
• Manage and control project changes (MOC) using approved project change processes to approved budgets and schedule. In addition, evaluate remaining contingency to establish appropriate level required to complete the project based on proper risk analysis.
• Perform month end reporting of VOWD, forecast analysis and business plan updating for responsible budget areas which man include general project management & support, Phase 5 Operations, Information Management & Technology and Infrastructure.
• Assist in providing essential information to the Central reporting group to support project reporting requirements
• Coordinate with other business service organizations within the project (i.e. Finance, Business Planning, Contracts, Procurement, etc.) to ensure that all requirements necessary to comply with Company policies, instructions, central business units and Corporate audits and Company & joint venture reporting are met.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: Degree Qualified
Experience: 5~10 years experience within cost with experience within the Oil & Gas industry
Personal Attributes:
• Detail oriented
• Able to work autonomously given general instructions or with little supervision
• Team player, with ability to meet tight deadlines

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred skills: KCM skill preferred but not required
