The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
Role Objective:
- Assist the Treasurer with the development and implementation of Company corporate credit policies.
- Perform and monitor credit/risk review for all customers, banks, insurance companies and vendors with which Company wishes to do business.
- Assist and recommend credit limits to credit committee within corporate policy and acceptable risk levels.
- Build and develop an industry leading credit analysis process using global industry best practices.
- Identify, attract and develop necessary skills and resources.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, implementation and management of Company credit policies, procedures and controls so that the setting of credit levels is within acceptable risks and the credit monitoring is timely and accurate.
- Assist in coordinating the implementation of treasury policies to cover credit, and risk management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of effective preventive and detective financial controls and internal compliance processes to ensure treasury activities are conducted in line with the Table of General Authorities (TOGA) and International standards.
- Monitor and evaluate corporate and bank credit risk and exposure.
- Assist in establishing and operating a reliable system for customer credit evaluation and monitoring.
- Evaluate and apply effective tools to mitigate credit risks
- Coordinate, manage and administer collection and negotiation of letters of credit and parent company guarantees from the customers
- Lead weekly meeting with Operations to monitor cargo delivery schedule and to ensure timely receipt of any required security before product loading
- Work with Senior Accounts Receivable to monitor customer collection and promptly resolve any late payment
- Participate in monthly Credit Committee meeting
- Prepare and review quarterly stewardship package with Credit Committee
- Ensure all activities conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan for the treasury function with key performance targets.
- Provide assistance/back-up resource, as directed by the manager.
- Annual review and improvement of the effectiveness of the treasury function and management systems in achieving company objectives

Decision Making Authority:
- Financial authorities subject to Table of General Authorities (TOGA) as amended and approved from time to time by the Board of Directors / General Assembly

- Actively create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors
- Monitor record and continually improve the safety performance of the department.
- Direct operations to ensure all decisions, contacts and agreements executed in accordance with company policies and the Table of General Authorities.
- Assist management team in developing a comprehensive corporate safety and controls compliance program.
- The revenues from petroleum exports represent a significant contribution to the gross revenues of the state, the protection and control of which are a matter of national importance.
- The treasury function contributes to the structure and controls system to ensure that company assets, revenues and payments are approved according to the Table of General Authorities (TOGA) and are accurately recorded, reported and protected.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in finance or business. A master degree in finance or business is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for the master degree.

• 5 years of International credit experience
• Leadership skills must have been demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Behavioral Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language

Technical Competencies:
Working knowledge of international credit, risk management and insurance
Aware of international treasury practices
Knowledge of financial controls.
Working knowledge of SAP, Word and Excel.
