The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
Senior CS&A Engineer – Will be located at offices in Westlakes (West Cumbria) with regular visits to plant.

The majority of the major design work required for this nuclear project has been completed. It is essential that this body of work is managed through to full substantiation & ‘as built’ status
A lot of the effort now required is to ensure, as far as is possible, that the ‘design intent’ is followed through into construction & installation.

General Responsibilities are as follows:

To work as part of the Project CS&A design team in the delivery of sound, fit for purpose solutions.
Progress CS&A design records; to include civil and structural calculations, drawings, specifications, report documents and spreadsheets,
Prepare/check basic structural and civil calculations and supervise CAD designers preparing GA's and detail drawings..
Assist in preparation of specifications, scopes of work, method statements and assessment reports
On-site (Sellafield) building visits to assist Construction process & resolve TQs & other queries
Perform other duties that may be requested by the CS&A Responsible Engineer.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant University degree.
Knowledge of CDM and design responsibilities.
Good working knowledge of relevant computer software
Experience or knowledge of Construction processes & techniques
Sellafield site experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
To fully function the appointee will need to gain the following within reasonable time of starting.
Sellafield Ltd (P4 Pass)
UK Government SC Clearance
Monitored worker status
Training & SQEP to wear PPE including respirator & PVC suit for up to & including C3 areas & safety harness
