The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.

The Role:
Senior Development Engineer Lead EPD engineering team to deliver engine unit Durability, Mechanical DV and P&E development. Lead planning and execution of dynamometer based Engine development program(s).
Lead completion of Engine sign off in line with company procedures. Lead dialogue with engine design, calibration & vehicle development and manufacturing teams. Lead development and management of detailed project plans that embrace all elements of the dynamometer based engine development. Manage the project to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved as defined by the engineering development process.

Manage the definition, communication, and resolution of issues with internal stakeholders. Co-ordinate the attribute sign off of the production powertrain. Issue technical reports and associated documentation for all major parcels of work Release calibrations and associated documentation for other rig users and engine plants.

Skills Required:
Detailed knowledge & experience of Gasoline engine design and development to meet attribute delivery. Detailed knowledge & experience of Combustion and associated measuring equipment. Working knowledge & experience of Gasoline engine control systems. Working knowledge of CAE tools used in engine design & development. Working knowledge & experience of dynamometer related test equipment. Practical experience using ATI or other calibration tools.

Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years engine Dyno based development

Education Required:
2:1 BSC minimum

Additional Information :
Maybe required to travel in Europe
